Lisa McCormick

I started working with my rescue Doberman, Chynaa, in 2000.  She taught me so much more than I ever expected.  She was attacked by a dog when I first had her home with me and this started my journey on learning to deal with fear aggression.  During our learning curve with each other, she showed me that each dog,  like individuals, need different training/learning tools to accomplish the task.  My favorite quote, “ONE DOES NOT FIT ALL!”, and how does the dog feel about that.  She overcame every obstacle and was a true ambassador of the breed.  She was able to achieve a Canine Good Citizens certificate along with some fun Search and Rescue runs with the local fire department.  Thank you Taunton Firemen!

She also had allergies to so many things that this also taught me much more about nutrition and the importance it has on a dog with a compromised immune system.  She was an amazing dog, even if I wasn’t the best-equipped trainer at the time.

Now, my current girl, Zeeva, a Doberman from Canada,  has taught me even more about the competition world. Her registered name is
Ravalleses Everlasting Love
AKC BN, PCD, CD, PCDX, RAE , CGC
CKC BN, PCD, CD, RAE
ASCA CD, REX

She was the #1 Doberman in Rally in Canada 2011 and #7 of all Breeds in all of Canada!  She was the dog that started me in Rally; she did not enjoy obedience at first due to being fearful but Rally helped her enjoy the transition and succeed.

My boy, Lucca, another Canadian Doberman, threw me a curveball and
presented me with more challenges on learning how different each dog is, especially male vs. female.  He has excelled at Rally and obedience.  He qualified for the Rally Nationals in 2014. He is known as
Ravalleses Living Legend
AKC BN, PCD, CDX, RE, CGC

Thank goodness for the dogs; they have really taught me so much and they have much more work yet to do with me!
